29 Mar Want to be apart of Australia’s biggest fashion week?
That’s right, fashion week is coming back to down under in less then just 2 months at the very heart of Sydney, Carriageworks Eveleigh where they’ll be excitement, chaos, frenzy, press updates & exhilarating shows that’ll leave you mesmerised.
In the past two years I’ve actually had the privilege to be apart of the show participating in both behind the scenes and also experiencing the show first hand. This year I’m extremely excited to be apart of the craziness. Thanks to great experiences from previous years, nothing is stopping me from being apart of this years fashion week, which will definitely be bigger, better & crazier.
The first year I had ever been apart of the show was in 2015 where I had actually applied through Miro door (http://mirodoor.com/) for those who don’t know what Miro door is its a great platform that provides a great learning opportunity for those who are interested in events, PR, fashion, media & production. Miro door keeps you updated with any internships job positions or volunteer work enabling you to connect with industry professionals. Thanks to Miro door I was able to do volunteer work at the 2015 Mercedes Benz fashion show & also meeting incredible people, I made new friends one being a girl all the way from the UK who came to Australia for a holiday, which I thought was pretty sick meeting someone from a foreign country. Not to mention you get to watch all shows for FREE!! So with that being said I extremely encourage those eager to apply for Volunteer work this year, If you know you’re committed & punctual then you’re definitely the perfect candidate for the job (I’ll provide a link down below on where to apply)
My experience last year was definitely worth every penny & was not disappointed at all, although getting there was a bit of a hassle because of my unorganised ass my friend & I had missed our first show (Lets just say I’m not the best person to go out with when needed to be punctual) that we originally paid for but when we got there devastated, they had assured us that we’d be able to go to the show after the one we were originally meant to be at (MAJOR RELIEF) & so it actually turned out to be a great night where we copped ourselves front row seats and free goody bags.
If you’re wanting to apply for Volunteer work or tickets to watch the show here are the links below, Hope to see you guys there!
